About me
I'm the co-founder at Ubicloud, an open source alternative to AWS.
Previously, I was a partner at Microsoft, leading PostgreSQL engineering teams. I came to Microsoft through its acquisition of Citus Data. I was the cofounder and CTO at Citus, and I learned a lot about doing startups there. Before all this, I built distributed systems at Amazon.
For the session, we expect two new frontier open source AI models before the conference. I'm submitting an abstract based on the latest open source model, but I'd likely update my talk before the conference. For example, I may present DeepSeek-R2 instead of DeepSeek-R1.
